Logitech G adds a McLaren RS50 bundle and a cheaper hall-effect pedal set

The sim racing part of Logitech G PLAY 2026 is a papaya RS50 package at $899.99, a $129.99 two-pedal RS Pedals SE, and PC-only versions of hardware the company already sells.

Logitech G announced fifteen products at its G PLAY 2026 event on September 23. Four of them are sim racing items: the RS50 McLaren Racing Edition, the RS Pedals SE, and standalone versions of the G923 wheel and the RS50 direct-drive system. [1]

What the announcement actually says

The sim racing section of Logitech’s release runs to four sentences. It describes “new modular PC-exclusive hardware, including standalone versions of the G923 wheel, the RS50 direct-drive system, and the new RS Pedals SE, which features hall-effect brake and gas pedals for enhanced precision”. [1]

On the McLaren edition, the release says it combines “the 8 Nm RS50 direct-drive wheelbase with TRUEFORCE technology, high-end RS racing components” and, paired with the Playseat Instinct McLaren Racing Edition cockpit, “creates a deeply engaging experience”. The papaya colour is described as a tribute to “the courageous innovation and heritage McLaren Racing has championed for over sixty years”. [1]

The release gives no prices and no dates. It closes by saying Logitech G “will announce availability, regional pricing, and launch timing for individual products through its regional channels”. [1]

What the US store lists

Logitech’s own US storefront is already carrying the products, with prices the release withheld. All figures below are US prices read from the en-us store on September 24.

The RS50 McLaren Racing Bundle is $899.99. The product page describes it as “McLaren Racing Wheel, Base, Pedals all in 1”, with 8 Nm direct drive, TRUEFORCE, a quick-release wheel based on the McLaren MCL38 steering wheel, and load cell pedals. Platform options listed are PS/PC and PC only. No availability date is given on the page. [2]

The RS Pedals SE is $129.99 and listed as “In stock. Ready to ship”. Logitech describes the set as offering “best-in-class contactless hall effect brake and accelerator”, fully adjustable and modular. [3]

The G923 is $299.99, rated 2.3 Nm, and also “In stock. Ready to ship”. [4] The RS50 System is $599.99 at 8 Nm. [5] Both list PC Only alongside PlayStation and Xbox platform options, which sits awkwardly against the release’s description of the standalone versions as “PC-exclusive”. Logitech has not explained the discrepancy, and we are reporting both as they stand.

How the SE differs from the existing RS Pedals

The two pedal sets are separate products and Logitech’s own pages state the difference plainly.

The existing RS Pedals, listed at $159.99 and currently discounted to $149.99, are described as “load cell brake & contactless hall effect accelerator”, with the brake rated at 165.34 lbs of force. [6] The new RS Pedals SE, at $129.99, carries a hall-effect sensor on both the brake and the accelerator rather than a load cell on the brake. [3]

Logitech lists the SE as modular, in a steel frame, with adjustable pedal spacing, rubber feet and carpet grippers. [3]

The RS50 itself is not new

The RS50 direct-drive base and the original RS Pedals were announced in September 2025, not this week. [7] What is new on September 23 is the McLaren edition of the RS50, the RS Pedals SE, and PC-only configurations of hardware that was already on sale. Search results for the RS50 currently return a good deal of year-old launch coverage that reads as current.
