BeamNG.drive comes to PS5 on October 19, in early access and without mods
The console version launches as early access alongside PC version 0.40. BeamNG says VR and mods will not be supported at launch, and it has not announced a price or racing wheel support.

BeamNG has confirmed that BeamNG.drive will launch on PlayStation 5 on October 19, 2026. The studio first said in May that the game was coming to the console this year. [1]
Early access on console too
The PlayStation Store listing describes the PS5 release as early access: “BeamNG.drive is releasing in Early Access on PlayStation. This means that the game is still actively being developed.” The listing shows a release time of 10:00 AM EDT on October 19, lists support for 1–4 players, and describes “12 sprawling, beautiful open-world environments” and “dozens of refined, totally customizable vehicles”. [2]
The PC version has been in Steam Early Access since May 29, 2015. [3]

What will not be there at launch
BeamNG’s own announcement says: “VR and mods won’t be supported at launch. We are aiming for feature parity across platforms where possible in the long term, but we can’t confirm timing or scope just yet.” [1]
Neither the announcement nor the store listing gives a price, and the store page offers a wishlist rather than a pre-order. Neither source mentions racing wheel support. [1] [2]

PC gets version 0.40
BeamNG says PC players can expect version 0.40 “around that date too”. The last major PC update was version 0.39, released on July 29. [1] [4]
