Assetto Corsa EVO’s Eifel free roam arrives in update 0.10
Kunos has confirmed the open-world mode for the next early access update, describing it as a first iteration. No date has been given.

Assetto Corsa EVO’s free roam mode will arrive with update 0.10, Kunos Simulazioni confirmed on September 23. [1]
What was said
The statement, posted on the official Assetto Corsa account alongside four screenshots, reads in full: “From the Nordschleife to the open road! The first iteration of the Eifel Free Roam Mode will be released to Assetto Corsa EVO as part of Update 0.10. More details coming soon.” [1]
Three things follow from that wording, and nothing else does. The mode is tied to update 0.10 specifically. It is described as a “first iteration” rather than a finished version. And Kunos says more details are coming, without saying when.
No date, and no other official detail
No release date for update 0.10 has been given. The most recent build on Steam is v0.9.1, released September 1, which followed update 0.9 on August 26. [2] As of September 24 there is no Kunos announcement on Steam about update 0.10 or about free roam, and no video of the mode has been published.
Other outlets have gone further than the post does, describing the region arriving in sections and listing new traffic vehicles. Those details are being read from the four screenshots rather than stated by Kunos, and we have left them out.
The Eifel open world has been part of the game’s stated plan since before early access began. We covered the competition and strategy features that shipped in update 0.9.
