MOZA’s first licensed PlayStation 5 hardware appears at Tokyo Game Show

MOZA Racing announced on September 17 that it is showing its first officially licensed PlayStation 5 racing hardware at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The show runs at Makuhari Messe from September 17 to 21, with the public days beginning on September 19. [1] [2]

Three products, named but not specified

The announcement names the MOZA R5S Pro Racing Simulator, the R16S Ultra Racing Simulator and the R16S Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base. MOZA describes the R5S Pro as an all-in-one package combining wheel base, steering wheel and pedals, the R16S Ultra as a wheel base and steering wheel aimed at experienced drivers, and the R16S Ultra Direct Drive Wheel Base as a standalone base for users building their own setup. Beyond those descriptions, the announcement contains no technical detail. No torque figures, no motor specifications and no compatibility list beyond PlayStation 5 are given, and MOZA says pricing, availability and the launch date will be announced “at a later stage.” The announcement does not say how these products relate to the company’s existing wheel bases. Gran Turismo 7 support comes via Polyphony Digital

MOZA says the debut marks the start of a collaboration with Polyphony Digital, with the company developing a racing wheel controller with native Gran Turismo 7 support. It says the lineup will support Gran Turismo 7 from launch along with “a growing selection of compatible racing titles,” without naming those titles. [1]

For anyone weighing a purchase, that is the practical limit of what is currently known: one confirmed title, an unnamed list beyond it, and no date.

Approval is still outstanding

A footnote in the announcement states that all three products are developed under the official PlayStation licensing programme and “will work with PlayStation 5 subject to Sony Interactive Entertainment’s final product approval.” Fanatec described the same conditional status for its ClubSport F1 Racing System a day earlier, so neither company has a cleared release date yet.
