iRacing announced on September 15 that Logitech G returns as presenting sponsor of the eNASCAR College iRacing Series for the 2026-27 collegiate season, alongside the PlayVS College League, with a $60,000 scholarship pool spread across the year. [1]

Four changes named, none of them explained

The interesting part of the announcement is not the sponsorship but what sits beside it. iRacing lists a new tournament format, a separation of the Student and School championships, updates to the points scoring, and the addition of two IMSA-backed road races. [1]

All four are named and none is described. There is no explanation of how the tournament structure differs from last season, no detail on what splitting the Student and School championships means for how a driver is ranked, no points table, and no circuits attached to the IMSA rounds.

For a student weighing whether to commit to a season that starts in days, that is the detail that matters, and it is not published yet. Worth waiting for before signing up on the strength of the format alone.

The calendar that is confirmed

The season opens with a Time Attack, the “Peachtree Pursuit” at EchoPark Speedway, running September 15 to 20. Week 1 competition begins September 23, and that round concludes on September 30. [1]

Wheels for entrants

Logitech G is running a “We Got Wheels” giveaway attached to the opening Time Attack. Registered drivers who complete at least one attempt are entered automatically, with racing wheels, prize packs and iRacing credits on offer. [1]

New colours on the cars

The series logo moves from the college orange it has used since 2022 to Logitech blue, and the windshield banners on the NASCAR Craftsman Truck and the Ford Mustang GT3 used for the IMSA events change to match. [1]

Ray Smith, Senior Director of Sim Racing at NASCAR, said that “Logitech’s impact on the eNASCAR College iRacing Series has been unmatched.” [1]

What has not been said

iRacing has not stated how long the Logitech G agreement runs, how the $60,000 divides between the Student and School championships, or which circuits host the two IMSA road races. The announcement also does not say what PlayVS College League contributes beyond being named as a presenting sponsor. [1]
