MOZA shows new Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Ford wheels

MOZA’s Gamescom reveal adds Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Ford designs to its licensed steering-wheel range. The August 26 showcase included two Mercedes wheels, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS model and a Ford Mustang GTD model. Individual product pages now give a clearer picture of how the designs differ. [1]

Mercedes: a five-display concept and a 300 mm GT wheel

The VISION ONE-ELEVEN-inspired flagship uses five displays. Alongside it, the Mercedes-Benz GT model takes a more compact butterfly-shaped approach. [1] Its product page lists a 300 mm diameter, carbon-fibre faceplate, 2.99-inch display, twelve front buttons, three rotary controls and four thumb wheels. Eleven shift LEDs and six flag LEDs accompany customisable dashboard layouts. [2]

Porsche: a 335 mm road-car layout

The Porsche 911 GT3 RS version is based on original vehicle CAD data. Its 335 mm frame uses aluminium with microfiber-leather grips, ten front buttons plus a working horn, and four front rotary encoders. Carbon-fibre shift and clutch paddles sit behind the rim. [3]

MOZA’s Gamescom announcement also describes a detachable display for the Porsche. [1] The road-car reference gives this wheel a different control layout from the smaller Mercedes GT model, even though both are part of the same manufacturer’s simulation range.

Ford: a D-shaped rim with an integrated screen

The Mustang GTD model measures 330 mm and uses a 2.99-inch display. Its controls include twelve illuminated front buttons, four rotary encoders, two thumb wheels, two seven-way switches and two toggle switches. The product page lists Hall-effect shift and clutch paddles, with ten RPM LEDs and six flag indicators. [4]

Compatibility is listed, but retail timing is still open

The Mercedes GT, Porsche and Ford pages list current MOZA wheelbase compatibility and support for third-party bases. They currently offer notification sign-ups, rather than a complete retail launch schedule. [2] [3] [4]

The different rim sizes, screen arrangements and control layouts provide more useful distinctions than the licences alone. The final connection requirements and release details will matter particularly for users planning to mix one of these wheels with another manufacturer’s base.
