Assetto Corsa Rally 0.6 adds private lobbies and new cars

Assetto Corsa Rally 0.6 expands both the car roster and the ways players can organise a session. Released on September 10, the update adds private lobbies, Photo Mode and custom liveries alongside three cars and 18 events across three event groups. [1]

Three eras of four-wheel-drive rally cars

The additions are the 1980 Audi Quattro Gr.4, 1999 Peugeot 206 WRC and 2018 Volkswagen Polo GTI R5. The Audi represents the early Group 4 configuration, including its mechanically locked centre differential; the Peugeot is the early 206 WRC, while the Polo brings a later customer-rally specification. Private sessions and a built-in photo workflow

Lobby hosts can choose the stage, vehicle, weather and event settings. Photo Mode is available during a run, in replays, in the service park and from the main menu. Custom liveries support multiple saved designs, with editable stickers, colours and surface properties such as roughness and gloss. The accompanying guide is in the game folders. [1]

These livery tools are described as the beginning of wider community-content support. The update does not open every part of the simulator to modifications. [1]

Where the update fits in the rally simulator

The underlying game combines co-driver pace notes with changing weather, time of day and surface grip. Its official overview describes damage and destructible surroundings alongside single-stage runs, full rally weekends, leaderboard-based Events and Time Attack, and Free Practice. Private lobbies add a way to organise selected participants around that existing stage-based experience. [2]

For a returning player, that distinction is useful: the update’s session tools address who you drive with and how you present the run, while the existing modes still provide solo practice and timed competition. It is more than a roster update, even though the three cars are its most immediately visible additions.

Development continues through Early Access

Supernova Games Studios develops Rally with technical support from KUNOS Simulazioni and publishing from 505 Games. The official development page still separates the current Early Access phase from version 1.0, with further vehicles, stages and refinements planned. It also provides feedback, bug-reporting and support routes for players encountering problems in the evolving build. [1] [2]
